I've been a special education resource room teacher for 2nd-4th, 6th, and 9th-12th (alternative) students.  I prepared lessons, plan IEPs and hold meetings, monitor IEP goals, and co-teach Math and English Language Arts. I work with students who have learning disabilities, emotional impairments, cognitive impairments and autism.

​I was a special education teacher for a self-contained cognitively impaired/functional skills classroom for moderate to severe students in 2nd-5th grade.  Daily, I prepared all classroom lessons, and individual lessons to meet student IEP goals, as well as sensory activities, life skills instruction, and grade level exposure.  I planned IEPs and held meetings, as well as monitoring those goals.  I also had paraprofessional assistants to schedule for and make sure they were supporting students needs.  With these students I also monitored seizures, fed students using a G-Tube, and helped with daily life skills.
